Buying a walking pad? Check the belt length first
Walking pad listings shout about horsepower, top speed and weight limits. The number that decides whether you can walk with a normal step is the belt length. Many listings bury it. Some leave it out. A person who is 5 ft 10 in tall needs about 46 inches of belt to walk briskly, by our rule of thumb. Several popular pads have 36 to 40.
